The Kirkwood Rally - Driving For a Cause

Join us on Saturday 6th June, for a relaxed daytime event in Kirklees, set right at the heart of where The Kirkwood provides care. Designed to be fully accessible and not weather dependent, it’s an event everyone can enjoy.

You’ll cover around 70 miles within the Kirklees area, following clues to guide you to each destination. Along the way, take in the beautiful countryside, towns and villages right on your doorstep.

Throughout the day, you’ll be encouraged to collect evidence of your completed destinations, so don’t forget to take photos! There will be a range of prizes up for grabs, with trophies awarded at the finish line, all in good fun.

It’s not a race, so no need to worry about speed, just enjoy the journey. With a great selection of food available throughout the day, and each car uniquely numbered, you can relax and take pride in driving for a great cause.

The event begins at The Kirkwood, 21 Albany Road, Dalton, HD5 9UY. Arrival is from 9:00am, giving you time to enjoy breakfast before setting off, with all cars ready to hit the road by 10:00am.

The finish line will be at Lepton Highlanders. Cars are expected to begin arriving back from around 5:00pm, with refreshments available from 4:00pm. From 5:00pm, you and your passengers can enjoy a 'Finish Line' meal, followed by our awards celebration.

£195 per car, which includes:

• Your registered vehicle
• A bespoke event number for your car
• Driver and co-driver entry
• Food vouchers including:
  • Breakfast
  • Lunch
  • Afternoon cake box
  • Finish Line meal

You’re welcome to bring extra passengers along for the ride. There’s no additional charge for extra passengers to join the event, but if they’d like food included, vouchers can be purchased for £50 per person.

Any vehicle is welcome to take part! As long as it’s road legal, the driver holds a valid licence, and you’re within your vehicle’s passenger capacity, you’re good to go.

From bangers to Bentleys (and everything in between), everyone is invited to join the fun. We’ll provide each car with a pair of numbered vinyl decals so you can be easily identified as part of the event.
